WINTER WONDERLAND

Abby loves to play outside in the snow. She especially loves to go sledding on the big hill behind our house. This year she can actually walk up the hill by herself, which is a big bonus for those nice people who take her out ( Daddy & Aunt Tippy). I only run out long enough to snap a few pictures. I have never figured out what is so enjoyable about a less than 10 second ride down a hill and then a 5 minute walk back up all while freezing your butt off. Ally loves to play out in the snow, however after one slide down the hill she cries and wants to go back in. I think she inherited my feelings on sledding :)

FAMILY

We had so much with all my family that came to visit this year, we can't wait until next year. Although Julie your laptop has to stay home next year J/K!!!

CHRISTMAS DAY

On Christmas day we ventured over to Curt's Brother, Derek & Kirsten's to celebrate with the Rekstad side of the family. The girls had tons of fun opening what seemed like a mountain of presents.

A few favorites were:

Abby's wedding dress,

and Ally was delighted to have her own stroller for her baby. Abby was not allowed to touch it until Ally fell asleep and didn't know.

The whole crew, including Sophie (the dog)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Just to warn you my children have quite the "bed head" in the morning so try not to be frightened!!!
On Christmas morning Abby & Ally were both up bright and early to see what Santa had left for them.

Abby got her much desired "Princess Cash Register"

Ally got some "Dora" Mega Bloks, although she was more excited about the new sippy cups she found in her stocking.

Abby was quite concerned about Ally getting "Santa germs" when she ate the crumbs Santa left on the plate and then tried to see if he left any milk. Abby said next year she is going to tell Santa to eat all of the cookies and then put his plate & cup in the sink.

Abby also got a new cleaning trolley, which I am very excited about. I am hoping she will take care of the cleaning and I can quit bugging my husband about hiring me a maid.

Ally also got another baby from Abby, which she refused to let go of. I think she is starting to figure out that certain things are hers and not Abby's.

We had a wonderful Christmas Morning and it was great to have Tiffany and Julie with us too.

Good Morning Aunt Julie

and Tippy.

COOKIES FOR SANTA

Abby was trying to make sure she had just the right amount of cookies for Santa, it was a little tough when Ally kept eating them. After a while Abby decided she would eat some too. She also left some carrots for the reindeer, and she was sure Santa wouldn't miss our house because she sprinkled some magic reindeer food (oatmeal & glitter) out on the snow. Apparently it attracts the reindeer. Must have worked because when she woke up Christmas morning she got just what she wanted.

Abby making sure she has just the right amount.

OOPS!! Ally took one, now what do I do?

OK I guess Santa won't mind if I have one too.

Sprinkling the magic reindeer food....it was too cold for Mommy so Aunt Tippy helped Ally

CHRISTMAS EVE

Each year on Christmas Eve we head over to Grandma & Papa Gourley's house. We were all there this Christmas which hasn't happened in a few years :) We have our tradional "Subway" for dinner and then we all have a blast opening presents.
