Abby has officially graduated from her first year of preschool. They had a graduation ceremony complete with a certificate and a construction paper hat. The whole ceremony lasted all of 10 minutes, it was great!!!! Abby loved preschool this year and she can't wait to go again next year. I have no idea what I am going to do with her this summer, she is already asking when she gets to be in the 3 day-a-week class:)

FIELD TRIP

GETTING ON THE BUS

ROOF TOP PARK

FACE PAINTING

WASHING DISHES

SNOWBOARDING

Abby's class had a field trip to the Children's Museum, and of course I had to go as one of the chaperones. It was so much fun, I was responsible for Abby & her friend, Kennedy. It was kinda funny, a lot of the parents were only responsible for their own child. Abby was so excited to bring a bag lunch, and to ride on the bus. After about 5 minutes on the bus she told me she was bored of sitting there, it was a long ride there and home with her asking every 2 minutes are we there yet? But she had a lot of fun while at the Children's Museum, and she told me her favorite part was washing dishes, lets hope she still likes that in a couple years right?

GRAND RIOS

Last Friday we took the girls to Grand Rios, or as Abby calls it Water Park of America. We all had so much fun. Abby loved the slides and I even convinced her to go down the big tube slide with me and she loved it, I had to make her stop going on it. She didn't want to leave it either, but it was time for Ally's nap. Ally was a bit cautious at first, but after a bit she was lovin it. We even took Uncle Stephen with us, he convinced me to go on the hurricane. Just before I went down I read the sign that said "strong swimmers only", I haven't been in anything bigger than a wading pool for about 5 years so I wasn't sure if I qualified. I was sure I was going to die. As you can see I lived, but I would not recommend that one, the rest of them were o.k. Most of the pics are of Ally, because Abby would not hold still long enough for me to even snap a picture.

TRACKS IN THE SNOW???

The other morning when we opened the blinds we saw these tracks on our patio. I asked Abby what animal she thought had made the tracks. She replied "I am sure it was the giraffes Mom." What do you think?

HOPPY EASTER

We have many Easter traditions in our family. We decorated eggs with Abby & her friend, Brynn. I wasn't brave enough to let Ally help, maybe next year. We also went to our annual Easter Egg Hunt at church, and yes it was outside, even with all the snow. The kids didn't seem to mind and they still found tons of eggs. We also took a trip to visit the Easter Bunny, I think Abby thinks its like visiting santa because she was sure to tell him what she wanted, even though he didn't ask. And then finally there is Easter morning, Abby loves to see where the Easter Bunny hides her basket, and she always checks the places he has hidden it in previous years. I don't know how she remembers. She also helps Ally find hers and then together they found all the eggs. The girls also got matching Easter dresses this year from Aunt Julie (THANK YOU!!!!). They looked so adorable, Ally knew she looked cute and she was all about posing for the camera, which is very rare for her. We had a great Easter, hope everyone else did too.

Abby had an Easter party at school, they painted their faces and made bunny ears.

Abby & Brynn decorating eggs

This is Abby out looking for eggs, as you can tell we didn't dress her for the weather.

Here is Ally, notice she has no eggs!

(don't worry a nice older child from church took her basket and got her some eggs)

Ally didn't really want to see the Easter Bunny, so we all had to be in the picture (thanks JoDell!!)

They had some cute bunnies, chicks and ducks for the kids to see while we waited for the Easter Bunny.

Ally & her basket (don't you love the hair?)

Abby & her basket (of course she got what she aksed for, Barbie Mariposa movie)

FLOWERS FOR MOMMY

The other day Abby went out sledding with Gabe, the little boy that I watch, and after taking the wagon down the sledding hill, I am not quite sure how safe that was, she brought me in these flowers. Aren't they beautiful? I am not sure how she even found these with all the snow, but she was very proud of them. Oh and about the wagon down the hill thing, they told me it wasn't a good idea because it took too long to pull it back up. Go figure.

Rekstad Look-alike Meter

So I saw these on other peoples sites and decided to try to them, everybody always says my kids look like their dad, I guess they are wrong. I did try a few other pictures of my kids at different ages, it was interesting to see how they changed, mine went from looking equally like both of us to more like me. Try it, it's fun!
